The heavy duty thick wall dSLR housing is molded of corrosion free clear polycarbonate, features full capabilities, and operates safely to 60m (200 feet). The housing `O` ring seal is a masterpiece in fail-safe simplicity compared to designs that require stuffing the `O` ring into a groove. You can see that the `O` ring is sealed.
The housing size and weight provides neutral buoyancy and superb handling underwater. Camera installation is quick and simple. The dependable controls are conveniently placed at your fingertips, and kept water tight with Ikelite pioneered Quad-Ring® seal glands proven to be the most reliable method for sealing controls.

Functionality
Controls for all camera functions are provided with the exception of the diopter adjustment control. AE/AF lock can be activated with your thumb while holding the housing`s handle. An oversized zoom knob can be comfortably reached with the fingertips of your left hand.
All camera modes including D-Movie and Live View can be accessed through the housing. An ergonomic control for recording start/stop allows the camera`s video function to be accessed effortlessly with your right thumb.
The housing back provides a crystal clear view of the camera`s LCD screen for picture review and when using the live-view function for framing. The Ikelite Super-Eye magnifier provided with the housing offers enhanced viewing of the camera`s viewfinder while wearing a diving mask.

Versatility
A full range of dome and flat ports accommodate most macro, wide angle and zoom lenses. The standard port line offers compact and affordable options without sacrificing quality. The modular port system offers maximum versatility and performance with interchangeable 8` dome and flat port assemblies. Port attachment is quick and easy with a simple locking system and the port o-ring seal is clearly viewed through the housing. Lens ports sold separately.

The Release Handles allow easy attachment and removal of SubStrobe mounting arms at the touch of a button. Two screws remove the handle and tray assembly for traveling. Attach the Pro-V8 LED Video Lite to the top of the release handle using the #9575.4 mount.

TTL Flash Capability
The housing includes iTTL conversion circuitry that puts perfect exposure at your fingertips. The TTL mode provides four 1/3 f/stop increments over or under flash compensation that is added to or subtracted from any compensation entered into the camera. Seven manual power settings in half-stop increments allow for complete creative control. All choices are obtained by simply rotating a knob on the housing back.
Ikelite DS series Substrobes are industry favorites for their warm, even coverage and lightning fast recycle time. We recommend convenient and affordable strobe with sync cord packages that provide everything you need to take advantage of `automatic` TTL exposure.
Use the #4103.52 dual sync cord to connect two DS Substrobes to your system. All current model Ikelite strobes are fully compatible with this housing. Existing DS substrobes may require circuitry updates.

Non-Ikelite strobes can be used, but they cannot provide eTTL exposure or be adjusted manually through the housing. Special sync cords are available to connect non-Ikelite strobes from Nikonos, Inon, and Sea & Sea.
The optional #9571.3 features a 1` (2.5cm) ball for attachment to the top of the release handle. This provides a mounting point for Ultralight, TLC, and other non-Ikelite arm systems.
